This was my last watercolor before leaving on my trip to Washington DC. We had a wonderful time. I walked my legs off...77,000 steps and over 32 1/2 miles in 4 days of the trip! There is so much to see and I feel like we only scratched the surface, even though we did see quite a bit. What a fantastic place, full of imposing architecture, US history and Smithsonian museums.

When I returned I was so overwhelmed and exhausted to the core! I haven't been able to paint, puzzle or post. It has been hard to focus. I had about 2000 photos to go through. I am slowly getting back to myself again.

So here we go to catch up...

@juliedduncan I hope you enjoy it! I got “In the Forest” for the friend I went to Catalina with. She was recovering from surgery and I thought it would give her something to do while at home resting. And my SIL just got the same book as you too.
