Today was cold, windy, cloudy, dark and a bit dreary and I think this shot of a bridge in Morrison, Colorado pretty much sums up the weather today -- but I did have fun using an ultra wide angle lens.
Some people have commented about the dinosaurs on the mural. Morrison, Colorado is pretty famous for it's dinosaur fossils and is home to Dinosaur Ridge where you can see many dinosaur fossils in a rock-face along a mountainside.
@paulaag yes the lens, a diagonal fisheye, gives it the curved took. The distortion is easily corrected in light room, PS, or a lot of other post processing software, but I chose not to correct it because I liked the effect for this photo.
Gark, excellent HDR and and super wide angle, the composition is also great. I've passed the restaurant wall with the artwork many, many times and, NOT stopped to look and photograph. More inspiration to slow down, thanks.

I hadn't seen much HDR before your shots.... I'm assuming you do this in PS? Any suggestions for stand alone HDR programs? I have Elements and as far as I can tell, you can't do it there. Amazing shot, by the way.
@niccitrent The new version of Photoshop has HDR capability, Nik software and Photomatix both make very good HDR software and I think all three are excellent -- can't go wrong with any of them!
Wow I was trying to figure out where this could possibly be in the world from the thumbnail, surprised to find Colorado since I'm here as well but I've never been to Morrison...anyway, awesome pic, love the hdr & the cool perspective.
Totally wicked shot! So busy, in the best way!!! FAV. I woke this morning to your comment on my pic and it brought a smile! Thanks for the follow - right back at ya, your pics are awesome!
is it the lens that gives this the curved look?
Love the processing too. Fav
Your HDR is interesting... it turned the quaint into crazy!
