I have been absent from 365 for several days due to a family medical emergency. During that time away, I was amazed at how much I missed taking and posting my daily photos . . . and also how much I missed viewing and commenting on all the wonderful projects I follow. So I am very happy to be back in action!
I was quite happy to follow this speckled juvenile robin all around the backyard this morning to get some shots. Since I have to catch up on some missed days, I decided to post two views of this young robin. I really like that speckled breast.
I do hope things are ok Gayle - or at least heading that way. Missed you too and it is lovely to have you back. The speckled breast is quite stunning isn't it. lovely capture.
@frappa77 Thank you, Francesca! I truly appreciate your warm message, fav, and big hug! Everything is back to normal here, which is always a bit crazy. :-)
@janemartin Thanks so much for your comment and fav, Jane! I was amazed that he kept staying in one place long enough for me to get lots of close up shots. He didn't seem in the least bit afraid. :-)
@skstein Thanks so much for your comment, Sandy! Before I took these photos I didn't realize the juveniles were speckled. I am absolutely amazed at the things I have learned while participating in this project! Everyday there's something new! It's wonderful! :-)
@milaniet Thank you so much for your lovely comment and fav, Milanie! Being here at the cottage full time with my 96 year old mother-in-law always includes the possibility of a medical emergency of some type. Just glad this one wasn't serious. :-)
Good to hear that things are now back to normal. Great shot of this little bird. They are so fun to see flying horizontally as they learn to use their wings.
Great shot of this beautiful bird. Fav.
