Juniper Hairstreak by gaylewood

Juniper Hairstreak

. . . also known as Texas Juniper Hairstreak or Olive Juniper Hairstreak. It took me a while but I finally identified this small butterfly as the Juniper Hairstreak. The wing span is 1 - 1 1/4 inches (2.6 - 3.2 cm). A tiny but nice looking butterfly. It is amazing what you can capture with a macro lens.
Gorgeous...neat bokeh

Wow! What details you've captured! Interesting color combination on this little butterfly; his wing extensions are an added attraction. (I'm sure they have scientific names but I'm clueless about those.)

Thanks so much for the compliment shared on my zebra picture and the macro March project. Appreciate your interest in it greatly!
