@merrelyn Thanks so much for your comment and fav, Merrelyn! I taped the pencils to meter sticks and then taped the meter sticks to a light stand and a tripod. Hope that description makes sense. My original plan was to have the green, orange, blue, and red pencils at different distances behind the yellow pencil. I kept having trouble with those setups and finally settled on the four of them straight across at the same distance. I'd like to try the shot again because I already have some different ideas for setups for different distances for the back pencils. :-)
