Male Hummer

. . . showing his colorful throat patch. I spent a couple of frustrating hours trying to get a good shot of the iridescent ruby red throat patch on a male hummingbird. I finally settled on this shot although I'm not completely happy with it. This experience definitely reminded me that hummingbirds are not easy to photograph.
