Frozen but Stirred

We live near a big contained part of the sea. The water is not salty any more, so it freezes quite easily. The temperature is above zero now, so it's melting again and due to strong wind the iceplates gather on top of each other near the dyke.
Today we went out to look at it. There was a clear blue sky, so the melting ice looks really blue. I wasn't planning to make another theme-picture but it's blue... ;-)

Too cool...and beautiful!!! I can't imagine living in a place where it is so cold that the ocean freezes....brrrr!!!!

It isn't so cold any more (5 degrees by day) but it has been for a long time.

Oh, that looks so chilly! Great shot of this frozen sea and nice and cooling for me while I swelter in our 38 deg. C heat down here. Never mind, I'm off to the beach now!
