Today we took a steam-train to the top of the Brocken (1142m).
It was an amazing trip, but oh, so cold!!!
It was -15 degrees Celsius and very windy, so think about the chill factor! It was just so beautiful!
So... I made over 200 photo's and I can't choose one, so two for today will do.
These are two of the loc' s filling up with water before another trip to the top.
These are just trains waiting to leave, but the fact that they are steam-trains makes this extraordinary, so I tag this for this weeks theme.
WHOA...amazing shot. That cold weather sure helped the steam be even more dramatic and you capture it nicely. And I love the addtion of the guy climbing the engine. Another FAV from me!
@jarrettbates Now that you said it, yes, it does look like Harry potter! @Cherrill Thanks for letting me know it made the PP! @petra Ik mis jullie een heel klein beetje, maar het is hier zo mooi, er is zoveel te doen, dat ik haast geen tijd heb om aan thuis te denken...
How did I miss this. You must be loading in my middle of the night, LOL. I'm so hit and miss with comments lately that it's easy to miss things, and what a shame in this case. Great shot, so much to look at and such a story it tells!
I expect a woman in a long coat walk out of the picture after commiting a crime!! Perhaps I have watched too many murder mysteries in my life. Excellent photo.
I am going to follow you just to get your incredible take on life! Imagine two steam engines side by side! We have them here int the South Island of NZ but never two together!
@Cherrill Thanks for letting me know it made the PP!
