Sailing to the North-pole?!? by geertje

Sailing to the North-pole?!?

It still looks like Nova Zembla or the North-pole here.
It isn't that cold any more, but the former sea is still frozen and there still is ice floe.
Bought a UV-filter today and all my pictures turned out to dark. I don't know if I just had my settings wrong, but it was really disappointing.
For a detail of the ice: http://365project.org/geertje/couldn-t-decide/2012-02-21

Thank you for looking, I love your comments and I hope to take a look at your pictures really soon.
Love the masted boat off shore bhind this pile of ice.

I love the different "layers" - the ice, the sea and ship and windmills far back. Incredibly beautiful view. A fav for me!

Geweldig dat zeilschip op de achtergrond. Alsof Willem Barends vertrekt

The shores looks littered with ice chips. It's amazing to see a ship like sailing at this time of year. And it's interesting to see those windmills far off in the horizon. They are trying to put them out in the water here but the people are fighting and fighting against it. This is not too dark. This is exquisite.

Zo gaaf!!

Great shot, are those all windmills in the distance? Wish people over here would get the idea that windmills are better than coal, oil, nukes or natural gas.

This is so pretty. Does look like what I expect the North Polo to look like.

This is a superb shot - is that Ijsselmeer? The boat is gorgeous and that ice is terrifying! The detail shot is great too - hope it is melting now.
