I thought it was all gone. But after a bit of geocaching at lunch time today i wandered the forest in the park searching for anything of color. And found these beauties. They were actually a very deep red and very close to the ground. Must have looked pretty silly alone in the forest practically laying on the ground (but refusing to get that dirty during lunch break so bottom still in the air), straining to get an eye to the view finder so I could manual focus this shot.
Then just for good measure brought the shutter speed down a bit for a couple of other shots to try and over expose this beauty. I liked this one the best.
Thanks for all your views and comments on yesterdays shot. I take it only one of you read the whole description and probably none of you took the advice. Oh well, I love you all stopping by anyway. :)
