Glad to see her on a real bike. Our neighborhood is being terrorized by these motor bikes and scooters. They donโt seem to be licensed or to know the rules of the road so to speak.
@illinilass@digitalrn@lynnz@haskar Glad u like the flowers. They are a signature part of our Uptown look every year. They stretch for about 1-1/2 miles like that on both sides of the street. The pictures of military folk are family members of people who live in town. They are a nice way to remember/recognize military service and provides a small fund raiser at the same time.
@shutterbug49 Funny you mention that about the bikes. City government is right now reviewing info, rules, regulations and the need for update of same, speed limits, areas of use.....the whole gamut. As is probably common in most towns, these things are being involved in more accidents where there are more serious injuries to pedestrians or riders, due the weight of the bikes and the speeds that they can reach now.
@skipt07 I remember......or, maybe that is because they had not figured out we needed 'em yet! Somewhere along the line, some enterprising person decided they could make a helmet to save/prevent injury AND be able to make a few bucks, and that "changed the game" as they say!
@ggshearron - Our playgrounds didn't have rubber around the swings and slides either, just good old dirt and small stones. We all turned out okay. ๐ฅด
