Let Them Have Their Dreams

Through a child's eyes
Endless possibilities
Let them have their dreams

So that's the end of the first roll. Camera works apparently, which is a good thing. One of the most shocking things I learned so far is that no places really develop film anymore. Most places that offer say you have to wait 3 to 5 weeks to get the photo's back, without negatives.

Found an old photo shop about a half hour from me. Very friendly, professional. But still...they also have to mail it out for development. Takes about a week or so. For anything other then 35mm development, ie: b&w, obscure film, etc....it has to be mailed to a place in Minnesota. Crazy. So this may take longer for me to upload then I originally thought. Please bear with me.

Should be finished with the next roll in a week or so.
there's a sense of poignancy in this shot, beau. it's like savouring innocence; peeking through the child's innermost dreams and i feel guilty for doing so. the skewed blinds really sets the mood. aces!

you will have to get a developing tank , lightbag ,some chemicals, and a scanner, i do black and white with a very rudimentary setup and i am told colour is pretty simple too, once you know how. if you are intending to do a year of film it might be worth getting into

@kali66 Thanks Kali. Agree completely. Its basically $18 to develop and scan a roll. Bit expensive. Hence why I'm gonna be taking longer to upload. My hope is to start developing my own film soon...but the initial setup will cost money too. Especially the scanner. What kind of scanner do you use?

@summerfield Thanks so much Summerfield. Miss you by the way...glad to see you again. :) I was walking through the room and I saw him just staring out the window. I was instantly brought back to my own childhood, doing the same thing. Just dreaming...and if you were to ask about what...I don't think any of us do. That's the magic of it. I think we lose that somewhere along the way...to just drift off and dream. There's a beauty in that.

@kali66 Thanks for the info. Great to see you again by the way. :)
That's my plan....photography on a dime. Hahaha. I was actually looking up how to develop film using coffee grinds. Looks fun.

@ghost13 oh yes i think i will try that too soon, anything that reduces the need for toxic chemicals wins!

@kali66 The video I watched, said the smell produced is unGodly....sooooooo....toxic chemicals may be a better choice?
