After a very warm night and thunderstorms predicted for today, I headed to the breakwater to watch the sunrise. It wasn't as colourful as I expected, but when I uploaded the photos I found many had this halo over them! So this is sooc :) There were many boats heading out fishing to make the most of the good weather and calm seas. And yes, after a sultry 34C (93F) it is now (5pm) raining and thunder has been rolling around :)
A great beautiful capture of this wonderful sunrise.
(@gilbertwood Yes we have . For that we planted it with the grass, The grass it self and the roots of them hold the sand from blowing away. and even than sometimes we`ve to supply new sand witch we dredge out of the sea.)
@terryliv Think you need a compass! The sun rises in the east and Adelaide is to the west :) @pyrrhula Thanks for your info. Sand dunes do keep changing :) @oly Yes Stuart it is a bonus when you get a good sunrise - makes up for the early start :) @karlow75 So good you can relate to my sea shots now! This as behind the breakwater as the boats headed out :) @thresheg@kauaikris@ninaganci@hermann Thanks for the wonderful comments and favs - I truly appreciate your kind words :) @peterlgrave Too hot for bowls Peter! Great to have you back :) @francoise@mbemis@susiemc@elisasaeter@seattlite@craftymeg@ladymagpie@sunnygreenwood@quietpurplehaze@lucypics Thankyou all so much for such lovely comments and the many favs :) It was quite easy to get a boat in the shot as so many were heading out to sea. Thanks for the visits :)
What the sun does to the clouds above is just magical. I love the layers of light in them, and the color is so vibrant. It think this picture was very well worth the early trip.
