This is the band, "Sweethearts."It consists of 25 females who had the tent absolutely rocking!
It was another magnificent festival with a high calibre of talent which saw all venues packed and everyone having a terrific time. I am extremely tired and can't wait for the sun to set so I can go to bed :) Thanks for all the wonderful comments I came home to on my recent uploads. I've read them all and greatly appreciate them. Will start catching up on your photos tomorrow!
I'd love to have been there! I know what you mean about "rocking the tent"! You have me looking forward to our summer already...we have the likes of this to look forward to in August! So delighted for you that you had a fabulous time!
Don't know that I've ever seen such a large band of just women, except perhaps in the movie "Some Like It Hot," and then two of the players were not really women but mad for Marilyn Monroe!

I just had my little point and shoot camera at the festival - no place for lugging around a good big camera :) @cejaanderson They were amazing Jane! They started out from being a school band and now moved on to bigger things :) @peterlgrave The saxophonist was amazing and did a few solos :) @mbemis They truly ignited the crowd Mannie :) @mjalkotzy I try to drink Guiness Martin but I really don't like it! I would sip everyone else's trying to develop a taste - luckily you could buy wine too :) @seattlite Thanks Gloria - I just held the camera up high and shot! @ladymagpie No rocking chairs here! But we did notice the aging of the crowd with more walking sticks and "gofers" (what we call motorized chairs! @terryliv Was great! Only problem was the lack of champers :)
