This is one of Warrnambool's icons that was built in 1890. It is a cable bridge and was originally built as the private entrance to an estate. Arthur Dobson built this and our Breakwater. He used cables from the Melbourne Tramways. It is now classified by the National Trust. It is only used by pedestrians now with the vehicle bridge built on the other side of it :)
So cool, great capture. Interesting as we had a family cottage for years on Lake Wollaston in Northern Ontario, Canada. The title grabbed me right away.
