Perfect Aussie setting - but a sad end to our holiday
Our Grampians holiday came to an abrupt end as my sister and I were struck down by a very nasty virus! We made the decision to come home Wednesday morning and we have both been in bed since. It is now Sunday! Hopefully today I will be able to spend some time in my lounge chair and try to catch up on what is happening on 365. I know I will be very slow in looking and commenting as I battle this bug :)
WoW! Something you just never, ever see on our side of the world!! Great shot and thanks for sharing. Now for the virus...hope you and your sis are back to normal ASAP! Not nice being sick.
Lovely capture of the roos/wallabies ? Dr Grave recommends Bunderberg rum until all signs of infection are gone.If it doesn,t kill the infection at least you will feel no pain.!! lol
Ahhh I am sorry that your holiday was cut short! I hope you are feeling well soon! I have seen many kinds of animals congregated in people's yards but never imaged being over run by roos.
I'm SO very very sorry to hear your vacation came to an abrupt end like that...believe me, I empathize! I confess that reading, "...sad end..." I feared I'd read that someone had died! I guess you felt about that bad, but glad to hear you're on the mend.
We stayed in cabins in a place just this wonderful while visiting Oz! @skipt07 Yes, it really was just that surreal! We were near Pebbly Beach/Bateman's Bay...neither Ken nor I can recall the name, but we were in cabins like this. You know how I love animals... with only 2 steps to traverse to the flat porch, I was able to entice one to come inside! I MUST find those pictures...film photos at the time. That was about THE BEST vacation!!!
What a great shot, but so sad to hear you had to cut your holiday short. Take care and just look after yourself. You will be well again before you know it.
@gigiflower@tonydebont@terryliv@yeshanghai@janiskay Thanks all for your kind words and wishes to get better. I too hope I'm back to my normal self soon - although by many accounts it could take another week to beat this! @susanalena@skipt07@cejaanderson It was such an Aussie icon place to stay with the kangaroos ans cockatoos hanging around our cabin! Thanks for your well wishes too :) @peterlgrave Thanks Dr Grave _ Oh I wish I could take your remedy :) @Weezilou It's such an amazing place with the roos and cockatoos hanging around! I know O/S visitors must really love it. Thanks for your cncerns and we will mend eventually but there will be no rushing it we have been told! @wendyfrost@bonsai@onewing Thanks for your concern and great comments on the photo. We did love the place and the owners were amazing when we left, and will give us a good deal when we return in spring :)
That sounds like a VERY unpleasant way to ends a holiday :( What a shame. The Grampians are such a gorgeous part of Victoria. I just read your profile and see that you live in the equally beautiful area of Warrnambool though!! Lucky lady :)
As for the photo .... so many roos! and so close!! I don't think I've ever seen any quite so confident....
What a fantastic shot. Fav. So sorry you've had to cut short your little break. That's rotten luck. Hopefully by the time I'm writing this you're feeling much better.
