My sister and I received these flowers from former work colleagues - how thoughtful :) I'm posting early today to try and catch up as I will be absent for awhile. We have Sam's funeral this afternoon and I have all my family coming home (some already here). Sadly my youngest daughter turned 30 yesterday and has a party planned for Saturday night. However Sam would want "the party to continue" so it will happen. So my children are coming home earlier to be at the funeral as well. Sam was "another" mother to them all. All our children from every family, always said growing up that they had 7 mothers - that's how special our group is - and always will be.
Your photo of these beautiful flowers is gorgeous...your words so touching. At times like these it's difficult to comprehend how the world can go on when you're feeling so empty. I hope that with so many gathered at the birthday party, fond memories will rise to the top. Suddenly I'm remembering a photo I posted some while back. I'll try to find it and will send it....it would be my way to telling you I understand, and your love of Sam will put things in order for you all... http://365project.org/Weezilou/365/2014-03-17
How sweet of your colleagues and how beautiful they are too! Such a wonderful tribute to Sam and she must have been a special lady to so many!! Very few come along this special so you will always have the wonderful memory that you knew her and she loved you! FAV!
So pleased you are feeling supported by your 365 friends Denise. It's amazing how much difference that support makes. beautiful and thoughtful flowers.
Beautiful flowers for a good friend, as I've said before, think of the good times and what Sam would want for you and your family, she wouldn't want you to be sad.
This sounds so special to have all these good friends, and extra 'mothers' for your kids. So glad that you can all support each other at this sad time.
This is so beautiful on black!!!! Love you story and memories of your friend. How lovely for you children that they also share that friendship and love!!
A sad day but filled with many happy memories I think for all your family and friends. These flowers are beautiful. Enjoy the party in a way from what you have said Sam would have wanted you to
A beautiful tribute to your friend. Sorry I am not able to comment too much at the moment but thinking of you at this sad time. Take care and always remember the good times. That is what I do when I think of my daughter. Time does heal and some of the pain goes
