On our trip to Ballarat today we found a few canola fields in full bloom - but trying to find the right place and time to capture them was difficult. Then at this moment the sun popped out and the yellow was so vibrant compared to other shots I took it had to be the winner :) I will get more another sunny day! It is also a yellow capture for the childhood awareness month.
Lovely yellow capture . I have just googled it as I have never heard of canola before but found out it is a healthier and safer variety of rapeseed. Can stands for Canada and ola for oil. Great to learn new things.
WOWZER!! Now that is "yellow"!! What gorgeous fields and absolutely a perfect theme for Child Cancer Awareness!!! I just love how bright it is in the sunshine!!! Beautiful scenery and composition!!! FAV!
@wendyfrost Thanks for the ino Wendy. As child I knew it as rape but decided they changed the name due to the horrible meaning of rape! @quietpurplehaze You need my brother in law to take you off the beaten track for shots! We luckily don't travel on the main roads/highways so stopping is usually ok :) @cashew Thanks Kathy. So pleased you really like this - there will be more to come! But I really need the sun to be shining as it brings out the yellow so well. I will go for a drive as soon as the sun decides to show it's face here for a day :) @shepherdmanswife Yes this is Ballarat in Victoria, Australia. My brother lives there and it's 2 hours north of me here on the coast in Warrnambool. It used to be called rape when I was a child - but read Wendy's @wendyfrost info above about the name :) @tellefella Yeah! Go Donovan :) @stray_shooter Welcome back Ron :) great to have your comments!
