Lego Christmas tree by gilbertwood

Lego Christmas tree

While in Melbourne I was able to visit the lego Christmas tree in federation Square. It is 10 metres tall, weighs 3.5 tonnes and took 1200 hours to build using half a million bricks! it has a very Australian influence throughout it too.It was certainly worth the visit :)
The creations they make with legos are truly astounding! The time it takes!!!

Is the Australian influence that Santa is a surfer? From this vantage the tree looks quite traditional.
p.s. I love the loopiness of humans to create things like this.
