A group of us decided to drive to Bendigo to visit the Marilyn Monroe exhibition. The exhibition didn't disappoint and of course we had a great time! This is the statue that greets you in the centre of Bendigo. It was sculptured by Seward Johnson, made of steel and aluminium and is 8 metres high! It has only been displayed in Chicago and Palm Springs, and is Marilyn's first international debut! It depicts the famous scene from the 1955 film, "7 Year Itch." Very impressive for a country town in Victoria, Australia :) The Bendigo Art Gallery (where the exhibition is) is extremely progressive and secures some amazing exhibitions.
