My friend Sue - a recipient of the Medal of the Order of Australia
And such a worthy recipient of this award for services to the community. Sue has been involved voluntarily with services for the disabled along with services such as the drop in centre and food parcels with her local church. I had the pleasure of job sharing with Sue for 12 years in our role of supporting children with additional needs to attend their local kindergarten. I met up with Sue walking her dogs as the sun rose over the bay - and it was only 2 degrees :)
Great capture with lovely detail, light and colour, my congratulations to Sue on receiving such a prestigious award, I suspect she is a greatly admired and valued member of your community Denise:)
@mccarth1 Yes Kerry - it's the spot where all the race horse trainers bring their horses every morning for rides along the beach and swimming tethered to the boats :)
What a lovely image and what an amazing person she is and well deserves this award - Fav I didn't realise temperatures got so low in Australia. I always think of it being sunny and warm!
What a great friend you have and sounds like she really deserved the award. When are you getting yours for services with lonely Patunias, especially ones in an onion patch.
Looks very cold there.
Great capture Denise of your friend, that was a cold morning. Love the horses in the background.
(I thought you were going to say the award was for braving Victorian weather . Lol )
