Heard a lot of noise the other day outside, and then found about dozen rainbow lorikeets in my apple tree! Today has been a "shocker" - wet, cold, rain, hail, wind and around 6 degrees all day :( I tried to capture it but it's so hard to capture freezing, and I froze! So thought some colour from these birds would cheer me up :)
I prefer the birdies to the apples - roast lorikeets and chips. A very colourful capture. a Phrase comes to mind, " An apple a day keeps the lorikeets at bay". I substituted the word doctor. FAV
Wonderful shot, they are such a beautiful bird. I like the way you have caught them all in the same position. They look to have done quite a bit of damage to your apples.

It's certainly been chilly! I hope the lorikeets are keeping warm and dry!
