Could someone knit me a scarf please?

Spotted this cockatoo in our Botanical Gardens. Certainly looks a bit troubled by the lack of feathers around his head but he was able to fly though :)

We often get cockies in the back yard that look like this. Just hope they disappear and don't come back

Poor fellow, I wonder if he is very old :)

Oh dear. I feel bad for him. Surely he's old and that's why his feathers are thinning. Lord knows, my hair is sure not as thick as it used to be. Smile.

Oh dear, he doesn't look well. I think his problem is caused by a virus possibly Psittacine beak and feather disease

Nice capture. Yeah, looks like a scarf might come in real handy for this fellow.

Maybe he belongs to that cockatoo feather head cult. I was at a vet a few months ago and they had one who had no feathers at all - he would pluck them all out with his beak. Not sure how one would do that in your case here, though. Hope he gets better.

Poor little fella. My sister has a sulpher crested cocktoo, who tell everyone "whose a pretty boy". I hope this fella is just moulting.
