I found this pair of Tawny Frogmouth Owls :) I had heard on the grapevine they were in a nature reserve carpark in Camperdown, so I went looking - I couldn't find them on my first visit, but coming home I popped in again and there they were :) My first ever owl capture!!
Oh well spotted. They aren't easy to find are they. I finally managed to take a photo of a mum tawny frogmouth with her baby a while ago. We also had one in one of our trees a couple of weeks ago. couldn't see it at first because it was night, but heard it. they make the strangest sounds.
oh how delightful!!!! I love tawnies :) they are not owls however, even though they really look like they are - google them they are fascinating birds. FAV capture :)
