Poeppel's corner by gilbertwood

Poeppel's corner

Day 7 - we arrived at Poeppel's corner. This is the exact point where 3 states meet - Queensland, South Australia and Northern Territory. On the map you can see the tracks we went on - WAA line, French line & Rig road. We zig-zagged a bit as the French line was in really bad condition.
I wonder why they call it the French Line. Interesting to learn more about Australia.

We have a similar landmark where four states meet called the Four Corners. The odd thing is that it's not on the right spot, but it's still a big tourist attraction.
