A first for me :)

Driving home yesterday I spotted this Black Shouldered Kite (I'm guessing this from my bird book) sitting on a fence. I had to turn around and go back, and was so pleased it was still there!

Fabulous capture. Black Shouldered Kites have the most amazing colour eyes. It appears as though he's recently had a feast - looking at the staining on the feathers just above his foot.
