@awendes Thank you for visiting. I have to admit it didn't take a lot of patience as it's quite a large bush and many of the honeyeaters love it. So often there are several birds there - they just don't sit still for very long so you have to be quick :)
Just happened to spot this photo. Two things I love dearly. Echium and hummingbirds. (Though I'm not sure if this is a hummingbird or some similar species.) And you have nailed the focus wonderfully well. Everything that wants to be in focus is. And the background bokeh is beautiful. Fav
@mbrutus I find this quite fascinating that you happened to spot this photo from Sept 2018!!! The bird is a New Holland Honeyeater that we have many of here in Australia - sadly no hummingbirds over here! Thanks so much for your lovely comment and fav - greatly appreciated :)
