A sad sight today

This wonderful boat, an 18 metre yacht named Patricia Mary, broke from her moorings in wild winds last week, and was found many miles away after an air search. This yacht has been moored in Warrnambool's bay for 4 years as the owner was slowly restoring her - he said he only had about 100 hours of work left to do! Hopefully it can be salvaged and he can start all over again. The yacht has regularly featured in my photos with sunrises and moon rises a specialty.
So sad to see it lying there helpless waiting to be taken to the harbour for safety. Beautiful capture of the scene and the rugged coastline.

There will be some very upset owners trying to come to terms with the loss of their lovely boat. And after all that work! The people on the rocks give the image such a good sense of scale. :)

So sad to see the yacht in such a sorry state. How awful for the owner. I hope that she will be salvageable and that he can continue to restore her.

What a very sad sight. I do hope he can continue his restoration, even if it is going to take a little longer than planned.

How devastating for the owners. It must have been very wild weather for it to end up there.

Oh gosh, how awful to see so much TLC and work go down the drain like that. I guess it's a plus that the yacht has been found, but in what state?
