This is the bridge which has connected the 2 towns of Echuca (Vic) & Moama (NSW) since 1878. The bridge accommodates both road and rail - and when we lived there traffic was halted whenever a train used the bridge. A new rail bridge was finally added to the other side of this one just after we left. 40 years ago there was a plan to build a new bridge which has caused so many problems! They finally are beginning to build an extra bridge now!
