In my garden by gilbertwood

In my garden

Day 8. I'm spending a lot of time in my garden this week as the weather is going to turn nasty from tomorrow! My essential tools are a spade, secateurs and a camera :) I couldn't identify this butterfly ???
Beautiful shot and great detail. Yesterday I saw my first butterfly this Spring; one of those common ones.

I am not travelling far from home either. Still allowed to go for walks because I live in such a quiet area but not out too often.

This is so pretty! How fun to spend time in your garden. I’m excited for our weather to cooperate so I can get out there, too.

It is beautiful. We are in full lockdown - only allowed to go out for groceries, medical supplies or to assist someone who is unable to go out themselves. Not allowed to walk dogs, take a run or ride a bicycle. Currently the lockdown is for 3 weeks - until after Easter. I wouldn't be surprised if it gets extended.

Rained all night here, and now much colder than it has been. I wanted to do some garden stuff, but not today methinks.

Nice macro shot. We have some similar to that here in California that are in the Swallowtail family. I saw some around here as recently as a few weeks ago. But their markings are a little different. I love the contrast between his stark black and white and the vibrant red of the flowers. Fav
