Apples and Pears

I love the golden tones in the wood and the vertical lines of the stairs seem to compete with the strong diagonal to give the picture quite an impact.

Very impressionistic with dramatic lines and a feeling of solidity. The golden colour gives a real warmth to the wood but there is something quite sinister and menacing about the shadows.
