About 30 years ago I started making a quilt. I got as far as making a lot of squares it then I started a full-time job and the partly-made quilt was put away.
Now I've retired and bought a new sewing machine. I remembered the unfinished quilt a few months ago. A few of the squares had developed brown age spots and I turned those into a small quilt for my cat's bed.
I have been working on the main quilt, sewing it together, backing, quilting etc. There were a couple of times when I got so frustrated with it when things weren't going well and I nearly threw it in the bin!
I made the binding for the edges and spent yesterday afternoon hand-sewing the back of the binding. So now it's finally finished. The photo makes it look a little purple but it's various shades of blue.
I'm sure you thought many times, "I will never finish that quilt!" Ahhh.... never say never! Your quilt is beautiful - congratulations on your follow through!! And your cat scored as well:)
