Panther on the prowl - Yard Art 23. by girlie

Panther on the prowl - Yard Art 23.

I don't know whether this panther is intended to be guarding this flock of ducks (and the odd pelican, rooster and swan) or sizing them up for its dinner. The mix seems a little odd to me, so it's a good one for my yard art series. This householder has a series of displays on his grass verge, some of which I'll post from time-to-time.
I spy a Pelican in there as well as a gold swan and a terracotta rooster. I guess they ran afowl of a Black Panther. :) Great addition to your series.

@robv Haha, very funny, Robert! I'd just gone back to add the other birds to my commentary. There's quite a selection. I'm wondering whether that's a penguin at the back near the tree; can't remember.

I find your yard art fascinating. I do not see any "yard art" displayed here in South Florida-just seasonal decorations. There may be an occasional display of something other than a plant, but that is rare. I am going to look more carefully from now on to see if I see one displayed.

@ladydi Diana, I would love to see more from other parts of the world; I'm sure it's not just an Australian phenomenon. That would make us really weird, now, wouldn't it?

This is nothing if not unusual. Most of the birds seem concerned enough about the panther to be heading in the opposite direction. Another great yard art entry in your series, Robin!

These are so interesting. I don't see many around here, either. We have boring yards.

This is a hoot, Robin. It's my first time seeing your Yard Art series. We do have quite a bit of that here in Michigan, especially in more rural areas. I'll be keeping my eye open!

This is a bit odd. I sometimes wonder where people get their inspiration.
