Bottlebrush by girlie

Bottlebrush

The beautiful Captain Cook bottlebrush, an Australian native, is coming into flower all along the street, much to the delight of the Rainbow Lorikeets. We are woken every morning by their shrieking and squabbling in the bottlebrush trees.
Very nice color. Good shot.

The bottlebrush should be our Christmas flower - in Victoria they are so abundant in the summer.

This is a gorgeous flower! Do you have hummingbirds where you're at? I'll bet they would like them too.

Thanks Clarissa. No, we don't have hummingbirds, unfortunately.

I don't think I have ever seen this tree in person. Not until 365 had I even seen a picture of it. This picture is so colorful and gorgeous -- no wonder the birds are attracted to it.
