No, definitely not a native, but I always know Spring is close by when my Iris starts to flower. I thought this one looked pretty after a little shower of rain.
Re: comment--that's funny your father thought that--when I started fencing (um, 20+ years ago) it was totally a man's sport. Let's just say most of the guys in the class didn't like fencing with a girl (or being beat by one!) It was really tough!
This is a beautiful photo--I love the droplets of rain on this flower. The colours are really pretty
A lovely picture and a lovely flower. It is so strange for me to think about spring now here, where it is stil Summer and hot, and autum, (very short one) will come in a month or a mont and a half.
Wow, what a photo! Those raindrops look like crystals. Thanks for letting me know about the red lace knitting photo - did it really make it onto the popular page? How exciting!
re: wow! thank you....i had no idea it was on the popular page...no wonder i kept getting all these comments...well now that just made my day! thanks for letting me know. :)
again...thanks for telling me...i will tell you if i see any of yours. i don't see it on my end but maybe your not supposed to see your own photos...to keep us humble. :)
Robin, this is gorgeous!!!! I love this shot - definitely a fave!
I saw your comment on my tooth fairy pillow... left a reply, but I'm never sure if people see them, so here it is again :)
Haha - Robin, I know, $3 is a lot compared to the $0.50 or $0.75 I got as a kid! But its a lot less than the tooth fairy brought her for her first tooth! A friend told her that the tooth fairy left him a note that she brings you the same number of dollars for your first tooth as your age when you lose it! And sure enough, she got $7 for her first tooth that she lost on her 7th birthday! I guess that after the 1st tooth, the tooth fairy has to cut back. I think this tooth had a high price tag because of all that she went through to lose it - not sure how much the tooth fairy might bring next time, for her 3rd tooth... guess we'll have to see! ;)

Here autumn is coming soon
I love this picture! I am so jealous that your spring and all the flowers are just starting. Ours are ending.
