Old bank by girlie

Old bank

Another in my series of local dilapidation. This tiny, rickety, lopsided building was the E. S. and A. Bank (English, Scottish & Australian Bank). It became the ANZ Bank and operated until as recently as the 1960s. It was fitted out with a counter, table and chairs. Situated on the riverbank, it has weathered many floods and looks in imminent danger of toppling over. I hope this photo helps to immortalise it.
This is awesome!

I've seen bigger bank vaults than that whole bank...lol. Great capture for posterity.

You've captured it beautifully and maybe just in the nick of time.

oh, this is a great looking old barn...i love it!

re your comment: those are corks which we save every time we have wine. they are from years of wine with friends, family, special occassion....you could call them "the corks of my life" i guess...it's a collection! I do drink wine once in a while...again, because of my migraines drinking is not something i do often...funny how the last two shots were about liquor though....i hope people don't think i have a promblem...ha, ha, ha. LOL!!! :)

p.s. no screw tops yet...well some but not the really good ones. i will buy every last corked bottle if i have to and turn my basement into a wine cellar. i don't like screw tops....takes the pleasure out of opening it and letting it breathe....

It does look like it's about to topple over - I have seen quite quite a few old buildings & sheds like but you've captured this wonderfully well.

So beautiful. One day, when I'm retired, I'm going across the US and photograph old barns, buildings, mailboxes, and yard art. We're quite original in those arenas.

This is one very cool old building! Very nice shot! As for my recent lake reflection, it was taken at Lake Los Carneros http://www.syvjournal.com/archive/7/24/4596/ . It's the same lake where the bobcat, the duck, the goose & the pink flowing eucalyptus I posted reside. Thanks for your interest & your nice comments on my photos.
