A firm hold

Whenever I go to Buderim on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland, I always visit and admire this Ficus that has managed to wrap its roots tightly around a large rock in a householder's front yard.
One word:awesome!!

It looks like it's trying to eat the rock. Once again mother nature delivers something strange and unusual.

That's quite a symbiotic relationship ~ the ficus tree has a strangle hold on that boulder. Such a gorgeous tropical photo. I love the cool green colors.

Gorgeous capture....the lush greenery is stunning but those roots are just incredible! That tree looks like it's going to be sticking around for quite awhile!

oh yes, those ficus roots! Love how they're hugging the rock. Looks like a rain forest, kind of sounds like all of Oz is a rain forest lately. nice pic.
