Glowing

Looks pretty stunning with the magnifier.
At Hat Head, someone has planted this beautiful Protea bush on the grass verge outside their house. From a short distance away, the bush looks like it's covered with glowing torches. This shot shows the flowers in various stages; the black bit on the left is one that's finished. Proteas originate in South Africa but are related to the Australian Banksias so have many similarities and grow easily here.

Incredible.
I have never seen anything like that before.
I really like that you included the flower in all of it's form.

I agree with Kathleen @ladykassy46 - it looks very much like a sea anemone. Interesting how even Nature repeats herself.
Beautiful capture.
