Cactus flower

This is the flower from my red-flowering cactus. The spiny stems are ugly and twisted but these beautiful flowers pop out of the ends. They only last for a few days.

So many plants that produce such beauty are ugly without the blooms, but the bloom makes up for it :)

Beautiful! The center of the flower is like a garden unto itself.

Just as well they only last a few days - they're overwhelmingly beautiful, and one can only handle that in small doses! I had to fav!
