Hopper

I found this huge beastie all ready to lay waste to my kaffir lime tree this morning. He has been relocated to the park down the road.
Use the magnifier for lots of great detail.
beautiful detail Robin, glad you relocated him before he attached the tree,

How kind you were to relocate him! I don't like to get too close to these guys in case they jump on me. They can chomp through a tree in no time!

Grasshoppers have to be one of Nature's ugliest creatures! And so untrustworthy - they'll jump on you without any warning - ugh! Great shot of him!

@greyfeather Thanks GreyFeather. I'm sure your birds would appreciate finding him somewhere else as a tasty meal rather than squashed on the ground!

@peggysirk Thanks, Peggy. Much hotter in Melbourne today, by the way; poor tennis players must be suffering.

@girlie Watching it now...it looks like tough conditions for them today/tonight. Although the heat didn't seem to get in the way of Roger Federer's quick three set victory. :)
