That's what my friend asked the waiter when he served up her meal. We were having lunch with a 365 friend (@shirleytemple) in Brisbane. Shirley and I had pretty decent helpings of our respective meals. My friend had ordered something called Smoked Salmon with Seaweed Pearls and this was the result. It took her about 3 seconds to demolish the lot! The waiter was a little affronted at her question. The 'seaweed pearls' are those things that look like caterpillars on the little pieces of smoked salmon. We never did figure out what the stick was.
@gennywren Nothing to write home about, I'm afraid, Genny. And no dessert after the price of the main!! @ness50 We had to give her bits from our plates so she wouldn't go hungry! @timandelke It might have left her room for dessert but the price of it left no money to pay for it! @yonnie She had to ask for bread; at least that filled her up a bit.
@bella_ss The meals that Shirley and I had were perfectly fine and very tasty. It was only this one that was served in this fashion so, yes, be careful what you order!
Good weekend to you !
Nice shot of it, though.

I don't like smoked salmon so I'd not have to worry about the pitiful serving size
What a shock it must have been when the waiter delivered that. It is very pretty though. :-)
