'Now what's been going on here?!'

I saw a great kerfuffle at the kookaburra's nest; feathers flew and one adult kooka took off in a hurry. The other, the female, perched on the outside rim checking the nest then hopped back in. There's at least one baby in there, probably three. You can see one peeping out at the world in my previous posting. The hole has been hacked out of a termites' nest and the kookaburras have been nesting there for at least four years now.

I have never seen a kookaburra nest before and we get lots of kookaburras here. Maybe there was a bit of a domestic going on
