Greetings! I'm from Connecticut (USA) Photography is one of my lifelong passions (others including gardening, woodworking, history, and being a part...
@denisedaly Hi, and thanks Denise. By this time, they were very comfortable with me, and I just held the camera down to their level and took a few shots. Sometime you get lucky, right! Be well, Les
@deens Thanks so much, Nadine. This is one of those shots that you go to the limit to try to get. For 10 consecutive days I returned (with food) to where I first spotted this little one when he was a flightless fledgling. (Actually, my keen ear HEARD him long before I ever found him!) It wasn't long before I could get as close as I wanted. (I still return to visit him, and the few others. He comes when I "call" him, and yesterday, OMG! --He made a landing right on my shoulder, and ate tentatively from my hand. Things like that I don't even think of photographing; I just enjoy, and give thanks.) Keep well, Les
@maggie2 Oh Maggie, thank you for the fave; what a huge compliment! Every photo has I story; I would LOVE to hear more of other's. I have a profound love and appreciation for the natural world that grew as a part of me since kidhood out in the country. I think it is often reflected in my photography. Take good care, Les
@kdrinkie Hi Kim, and thanks for taking the time to check in. A pleasing photo is always so satisifying, don't you think? I went out again this morning to see who would show up when I called for them - OMG! I caught a picture of one of them with a huge pebble in its beak; too funny. Maybe I'll post it.....Take good care, Les
@quartzkat Thank you so much. I munst confess, this is one of times when I was photograping birds that the utmost in patience was needed. The feeding occured almost lightening fast, with the youngster darting all OVER the place. I had to watch for quite awhile to get their timing down. Soooo glad I waited it out.....Be well, Les
