view from the fluming
Hubby almost finished cleaning out one of our dams. Lots of silt built up over the years. Ready for the rain to come. Anytime soon would be good.

I live on a remote cattle station in South Australia with my husband and two sons. I look forward to the challenge of this project...

That is a 16 year build up of silt. Mud that has settled to the bottom of the dam over the years. The only good thing about this drought is that we can get in and clean the dams out.

Would the silt be pretty good topsoil Gina? And I had to look up the meaning of Fluming.

I don't think the silt is good for anything, too much clay. I'll look into it. :)
