The main road is close to the homestead and with a steady stream of cars going past it does get a little dusty in my house.

That does look dusty! We spent some time in and near Alice Springs -- flying over it was quite incredible to see the expansion of the outback and how dry so much of the land is. There's a beauty in this that is quite striking.
