Geelong, from the south

Several well-known landmarks are visible in this shot: the John McIntyre footbridge and Barwon River; light-towers at Kardinia Park, home of the mighty Cats (but I'm a Dons' fan myself); St Mary's Basilica steeple, and the old RSSA textile mill. The crane is working at Geelong Hospital.
Very nice shot of your town

Apart from an interesting documentary shot, I like the moody light in tithe sky.

Great shot, such a lot to see.

@777margo Thanks Margo. Geelong is a pretty large regional centre, second only to Melbourne in population. City and surrounds number somewhere around half a million I think.

@ninaganci Thanks Nina, parts of Geelong are pretty darned good, but other parts not at all so! That is to say, a typical city.
