CowCoy Lim

I took this shot several years back during a brief visit to Malacca, a Malaysian island famous for its spices. Other than 48C in Dubai, I don't think I've even been so hot as I was in Malacca, I had a stream of perspiration running off the end of my nose. Most undignified.

All the trishaws there are ornately decked out with plastic flowers and other shiny gee-gaws. Quite fascinating. I couldn't resist taking this man's photo, something he seemed to enjoy.

Apologies for posting old photos, haven't had a chance to get out and about with my camera and I reckon something's better than nothing.
What a wonderful capture! So colourful! I would die in that heat especially the humidity! Definitely not for me!

Do I get a sense that you are also digging through the archives? This one is a treasure, so colourful. I would also not cope in that heat.

@pamknowler We'd been in Singapore which is darned hot and humid, but this place was another notch up!! This visit was on a day-trip from Singapore and I must confess we retreated to the hotel around lunch time so didn't make the most of our short time there.

@dibzgreasley You're absolutely correct Debs. I am having some phojo problems too, but much of my current archive-mining is due to the various visitors (mostly rellies) coming/going due to the Easter school holidays. Can't get a decent run at anything.

@taffy Thanks Taffy, I've got lots of shots from all over the place that I've never posted, but only resort to them when life gets more than a tad disorganised i.e. like now when the Easter break/school holidays bring successive lots of visitors to stay here.

I really like this shot, and it brings back memories. I remember good food in Malacca! This guy looks so unfazed by the heat.
