Neighbourhood 23

Since the lockdown and restrictions began there's been a significant increase in dog-walking. Where regular walkers mostly clean up after their dog and bin the bags, too many recent additions to dog-walking either don't clean up at all, or leave a full poo-bag at the nearest space. One neighbour has had enough.
A mildly worded sign - hopefully those lazy beggars take heed.

That is rather disgusting! It happens here on our estate too where dogs are not allowed off leashes. There have been a number of bins and special plastic poo bags installed at various points. Yet still I find some regularly on my lawn.

Forever amazed by this behaviour - I had two dogs and managed to pick up after both of them. Our council has a $300 fine system in place but I've seen not heard of it being enforced...

@dide I very much doubt it will have the slightest effect on the kind of person I'm referring to.

@ludwigsdiana Totally irresponsible and equally disgusting. Hope you can identify the culprits so you can deposit the deposits back on their lawns.

@graemestevens Much the same here mate. The problem is exacerbated by the bloody council removing lots of bins to save costs. I despair!

Words fail me. That’s rare for me. Good on you for taking and posting this excremental behaviour.

Good for him! He could, of course stand out there with a fog horn and blow it when the culprit leaves his dogsdoo!

I know how they feel. When we lived in the UK a woman used to walk her dog past our house every day and each day the dog would poo on the nature strip at the front of our house. One day I went out and asked her where she lived and she asked why, so I said 'Well I haven't got a dog so I will have to come and s&%t in front of your house myself and see how you like it' She never came past again.

@ethelperry Words did not fail me Ethel. But I can't repeat any of said words here!!

@maggiemae Totally agree. I suspect that it was the kids of the house on that corner who put the sign out there. Wonderful family and neighbours.

@onewing I knew you were a woman after my own heart Babs.

Unfortunately, most people do not feel the need for cleaning. I love dogs but I don't like their guardians.

I've noticed the same thing here specially on the beach paths and so many more dogs!! I'm not impressed!!!

A testament to people that don't care right now. Hopefully, things will get better when things get back to a more normal state.

We see it all time and really irks me. Some feral dog owners even throw the bags of poo up into trees beside the paths. Go figure!!!

It irks me that people cannot clean up after their own dogs. We too have had a number of the public bins vandalized or removed which does not help the problem. We also have a few dogs that roam around unattended. Needless to say they cannot clean up after themselves.

Pisses me off big time

It's a perennial problem. Here, the council have not been emptying the "dog poo bins" that are specially allocated in public areas, so instead of taking the little bags home to dispose of, people have just been heaping them up on the floor area around the overflowing bins. Yuck!

Round here they bag it and then hang it on a branch near the bin. Notice the grass is still being cut.
