Southern Cross station 6-30am 2

To travel to Swan Hill to visit my son I need to catch a train from Geelong at 5:30am to make sure of making the connection to the only daytime train. I was gob-smacked by the number of people getting on/off surburban trains at 6:30am.
I love the expression “gob smacked”! Nicely composed and processed

Such is life in a big city.

@ethelperry Ghastly IMHO. Much to my surprise the 5:32am from South Geelong is full by the time it's left North Geelong and standing room only a bit further up the line.

Such crisp detail for so early. Hope the trip was worth getting up for.

Very sharp image but all those people - haven't seen that many since I did Christmas shopping a few years back and vowed never again!

@joysabin Oh yes, very much so. My daughter lives in central Victoria (2 1/2 hrs by train from Melbourne), my son in north-western Victoria (about 5 hours by twice-daily train from Melbourne). I live in Geelong (an hour by train to Melbourne). My son had an accident on the farm a few weeks back so I wanted to spend time with him and family (school hols here in Jan), and all the family came up for an Australia Day BBQ at the farm.

@fbailey I hate crowds and do everything within my control to avoid them any time, any place.

@angelikavr Thanks. Ghastly hours would be the only times you'd see that sight.

@vignouse Thanks Richard. Better them than me! I like my space.
