Stink-pipe

Another shot of the derelict Ritz Flats. Sorry, not very inspired today, flat out all day trying to get LightRoom to co-operate with Aperture. Success to date = 0. All photos are (I think) migrated, but seem to be in one ginormous 'album', not stored hierarchically. Back to the drawing-board!
Awesome shot

So many folk trying to work with LR - I have it hat work but haven't explored it yet - not sure I want to try!
Great lines and shapes Marnie.

Sounds like you've had a bit of a stink-pipe sort of a day, trying to sort LightRoom - hope you can sort it without resorting to sending the computer for a flying lesson…..

brilliant lines Marnie, hate it when computer does not want to work the way you want. Take a days rest and am sure it will all fall into place tomorrow

@dibzgreasley Thanks Debs. Late last night LR finished migrating my Aperture library over. I had an up-to-date backup, of course and still have everything in Aperture too, but shan't be putting anything new in there. I gather it's a fairly steep learning curve with LR, but hey, what's another challenge?

@onewing Thanks Babs. By evening things were well beyond the cuppa tea stage, but a double-scotch helped things no end.

@flyrobin Thanks Robyn.

@dide Sure did Dianne, finally finished at 11.30pm (long after my usual lights-out time). However, everything seems to have migrated over successfully, not the real fun starts while I try to learn LR. Keep your eye out for new satellites.

@ninaganci Thanks Nina, all finally went through and finished not long before midnight. And today is another day altogether.

I've never catalogued my shots on LR, I just have them on my pc and export them as I process them. Are there advantages of doing it the other way?
